DPF P-22 COVID 19 LOCKDOWN Relief Project
May 2020
Divya Prerna Foundation desired to contribute its small mite to provide some relief to the sufferings of the rural population, on account of the extended Lock Down. So it supported the efforts of Mr Nambi Rajan Senior Manager of SELCO SOLAR for TamilNadu based in Madurai.
"A tiny hamlet SITRARUVIPATTI in Azhagar Malai, near Madurai was identified, where all the 30 odd families were out of any job, and living on only TN Government's free rations. DPF pioneered this "COVID-19 LOCKDOWN RELIEF PROJECT" by donating a major portion of the estimated cost, and monitored the activities.
Nambi Rajan's family & a small team of volunteer friends executed the whole project & distributed groceries etc to the villagers & addressed them on "Awareness about Corona Virus" & mandated protections to be followed
For the experience of this selfless service to poverty stricken villagers in remote areas, please read Nambirajan's narration in his own words below
