Inauguration of Solar Lighting System For Village Temple & School in P V Kalathur Village 11.Dec.2011
The First project of Divya Prerna Foundation, – Setting up a Solar Lighting Systems in Temple & School has been successfully inaugurated in Shri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Devasthanam, in Pon Vilaintha Kalathur village, near Chengalpet, on the 11th December 2011.

Divya Prerna Foundation (DPF) is a Registered Charitable Trust, formed on 15th July 2011, with the objective of realization of the divinity in man, by promoting the path of “Divya Prerna” (DP) or “Divine Inspiration” in the society. DP requires nature sustaining living in harmony, apart from enrichment of body, mind & intellect to seek spiritual enlightenment.

At present, the planned projects of DPF are – promoting Nature Sustainable living by setting up Solar Lighting Systems in public access locations like schools, temples etc, Publications of booklets on “Great Masters”and “ Eternal Truths” for free distribution to youth, and Non-formal education for rural children, by organizing science camps.
The inauguration of the Solar lighting system in the over 900 years old temple in Pon Vilaintha Kalathur, the birth place of the legendary Tamil poet “Pughazhendhi Pulavar” was performed by Shri Lakshmi Narasimhachariar Swamigal, Principal of Ahobhila Mutt Veda Padashala, Selaiyur. The solar system lights up the front yard & the prakarams of the shrine, with a special chandelier for the Sanctum.
In the same function, solar lanterns were presented to 10 students of the Pughazhendhi Pulavar Govt Higher Secondary School, of the same village. Led by Shri Chinnamani, the Headmaster of the school, 10 children (5 each from 10th & 12th class - both girls & boys) received the lanterns. The portable lanterns are to be charged in the solar system of the school, provided by DPF, during school hours & carried back home to light the home for about 4 hours in the night, helping them to study irrespective of the EB power.

Shri C.R.Narasimhan, Trustee DPF & past President of Lion’s Club, Pallavapuram, welcomed the impressive gathering of Temple devotees, Committee members of the SLNS Asthika Sabha, Lion’s Club members, School teachers & Students, local residents etc.
Shri V. Parthasarathy, I.T.S (Retd) Founder of DPF & Managing Trustee explained the mission of DPF and the salient features of the Solar Lighting System. He also presented two Rechargeable Portable LED Lanterns for use in temple kitchen & Sannadhi, to Shri K.A. Seshadri Exec Trustee of the temple.
Shri Lakshmi Narasimhachariar Swamigal gave a lucid exposition of Surya jyothi, quoting from Ramayanam & Azhvar paasurams. Later Swamigal inaugurated the lighting system, amidst temple naadhaswaram playing divine music. Shri S.G. Subramanian, Trustee gave vote of thanks, after which Temple prasadam was distributed to all in the audience.
Divya Prerna Foundation seeks the support & encouragement of all well-wishers to extend its Projects to more - needy village schools & places of worship.
