Divya Prerna Foundation (DPF) -leads with their First programme on their 3rd Mission of “Non-formal education for the youth”

*Beyond Labels: Youth Leadership Retreat* in Punjab, in partnership with Himalayan Club Trust Chandigarh, and Desh Bhagat University of Punjab. .

“Leadership Development Residential Programme” was successfully conducted from 24-26 Jan 2025 at Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab. Over 30 students from various colleges of DBU participated.

DPF Trustee Ms Nirupama Sarathy conducted the Program with active participation of Ms Priya of Himalayan Club Trust of Chandigarh.

Commissioning of SOLAR INVERTER SYSTEM for WSHG Livelihood Project in Kallivelipatti, MADURAI District, TN

DPF P-30/ Commissioned on 1st March 2024

DIVYA PRERNA FOUNDATION is a Public Charitable Trust, based in Chennai, established on the 15th July 2011. DPF attempts to promote sustainable living, in harmony with nature, along with the enrichment of the body, mind & intellect, helping to seek spiritual enlightenment by Divine Inspiration.

As a part of our Mission for Sustainable Living, we donate & install Solar Powered Systems in Public Access locations, to demonstrate & promote the wider use of renewable energy systems.

DPF is proud to announce the commissioning of its 30th Project (DPF P-30), the Solar Inverter System for Women’s Self-Help Group (WSHG) Livelihood Project in Kallivelipatti Village, in MADURAI District, TN

SELCO SOLAR LIGHT (P) Ltd, BG vide letter dt 16 Oct 2023, from Mr Shankar, Manager (Operations) TN, requested for DPF’s participation, with SELCO INDIA in their Women’s Livelihood Interventions, for Solar Inverter System to provide Electricity for the Machinery in the factories being established for the WSHG in Kallivelipatti, Alanganallur Cluster of Madurai District.

The total project cost of 8.50 Lakhs was shared by SELCO Foundation through Sustain Plus, a muti Stack-holder platform with CINI (Collectives for Integrated Livelihood Initiatives), and Divya Prerna Foundation. The share of DPF was Rs 3,50,000 – for the Solar Systems Rs 3,40,000 & Rs 10,000 towards Transport charges for the equipment & creating basic infra for the Installation at site.

The orders for the solar equipments were placed by DPF with the Advance payment cheque of Rs 2,00,000 on 28 OCT 2023 & the supply, installation, testing & commissioning was successfully executed by SELCO SOLAR, BG by First of March 2024. The balance payment of Rs 1,50,000 was released by DPF on 4th March 2024.

The Solar Inverter System consists of 2 individual systems – Customized Inverter System MDS-02. Each system contains Solar Module of 335 Wp/24V – 4 Nos & 5 battery sets of 180 Ahr/12V, and a Solar MMS 5, with all mounting arrangements, racks & other accessories required for the Power System.

After successful commissioning, Four Solar Operated machines – 1) Cold Press Oil Mill 2) Spices Grinder 3) Instant Wet Grinder & 4) Pulses Flour Mill – have been mounted & tested for reliable operation by the Suppliers Engineers, and the Women of the SHG were also fully trained in the operations. Very interesting & Remunerative Livelihood support to the Village Women!
