Inauguration of SOLAR LIGHTING SYSTEM for SIRSI

DIVYA PRERNA FOUNDATIONis a Public Charitable Trust, based in Chennai, established on the 15 th July 2011. DPF attempts to promote sustainable living, in harmony with nature, along with the enrichment of the body, mind & intellect, helping to seek spiritual enlightenment by Divine Inspiration.
As a part of our Mission for Sustainable Living, we donate & install Solar Powered Systems in Public Access locations, to demonstrate & promote the wider use of renewable energy systems to ease the effects of Climate Change Crisis facing the world.
DPF is proud to announce the auspicious Inauguration of of its 32 nd Solar Project (DPF P-32), Solar Lighting Project in SIRSI GURUKULAM in Uttara Kannada, in KARNATAKA State. It is also the FIRST Project of DPF, outside our State of TamilNadu.
Ms Sanhita Majumdar Bhattacharya, Chief Project Manager SELCO SOLAR LIGHT (P) Ltd,BG requested Divya Prerna Foundation, to provide reliable Solar Lighting system for this Gurukulam, serving about 45 students, in a fully residential setting, in a forest location, and enclosing the request letter dt 04 Dec 2025 from Shri Narasimha Bhat, the Principal of the Gurukulam.
The total project cost of about Rs 1.2 Lakhs was fully borne by Divya Prerna Foundation. The orders for the solar equipments were placed by DPF based on Proforma Invoice from SELCO SOLAR dated 30th DEC 2025 & the Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning was successfully executed by SELCO by early January 2026.
The Solar system consists of Solar Module of 400Wp/24V & 2 battery sets of 150 Ahr/12V each, and a Solar Charge Controller of 24V/50A, with 24 LED Tube Lights of different watts, and 2 Pedestal Fans of each 18W.
After successful commissioning, all the rooms of the Gurukulam including the class rooms, the yagna-shala, the dormitories of the students etc are served by stable Solar electric lighting,
providing “Energy for Wisdom”.
The Gurukulam scheduled a formal Auspicious Inauguration on the 15 th of May, 2026 inviting the Trustees of DPF, and the Senior Officers of SELCO SOLAR for the function. V.ParthaSarathy Founder & Managing Trustee of DPF with his wife Nalini: DPF Trustee, Ms Nirupama Sarathy, other family members Mrs Pratibha & Mr Arvind participated in the function. Ms Sanhita Chief Project Manager, SELCO SOLAR from BG & Mr Prasanna Hegde, DGM (Ops) from SELCO Dharwad & local officers like Mr Gurumurthy Hegde etc represented SELCO SOLAR.
On behalf of DPF, after a brief speech, Mr ParthaSarathy presented DPF Publication Book “Panchajanyam Beckons” and a Poster on “ShriKrishna’s TEN Commandments” to the Gurukulam Principal Shri Narasimha Bhat. Shri Bhat in his address, explained lucidly the significance of Krishna’s teachings to the audience. He also lighted the Pooja Lamp reciting the Mantras, for a formal Inauguration of the Solar System.
